It will touch on the procurement process, professional standards, and more for the food service program.
The SDASBO Conference will include the new funding formula, new tax levies, legislative updates and a session on grants management. Stevens also commented that although the school audit is a bit delayed this year, it is in progress.
Lane Ostenson stated that he and his wife, Susan, will be taking the Senior Trip to Denver from May 13-15. Some of the highlights include attending a speedway to watch drag racing, Denver Aquarium, Denver Zoo and a Rockies game. Ostenson will also be looking into a possible tour of the Mile High Stadium.
Ostenson attended the Athletic Director Conference in Pierre. There were a number of issues/proposals at the conference. Ostenson also added that the last parent/teacher conferences would be held Thursday, April 21.

There will be no changes to the Edgemont school’s education structure for the 2016-2017 school year. Edgemont is listed as having a K-8 school and a 9-12 school.
Cortney reported that there is a new immunization requirement for student entering the sixth grade. Beginning in school year 2016-17, the Tdap (tetanus, diphteria, pertussis) and MCV4 (meningococcal ACYW) vaccines will be required for entry into the sixth grade. The requirements will also apply to transfer students in sixth through twelfth grades.
The next regular meeting will be held on May 9 at 7 p.m.
