July 6, 2021
Call To Order – Roll Call: Mayor, Carla Schepler, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 P.M. on July 6, 2021, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Bill Bethel, Roger Horton, Cindy Millburn, Jason Shook, Lorie Wieser and Robert Worden.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Conflict Of Interest For Council Members: No conflicts were heard.
Approval Of Agenda: Lorie Wieser made a motion to approve the July 6, 2021 agenda with the removal of item #11 – Employee Termination. Motion seconded by Roger Horton. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Approval Of Minutes: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the June 15, 2021 minutes. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Roger Horton made a motion to approve the June 22, 2021 minutes. Motion was seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion passed with unanimous vote.

Public Comment: Lisa Pawlowski voiced concerns about County/City properties.
Lorie Wieser informed everyone about Bill Kreutzer holding an informal get together to explain to EMT program and the need for volunteers.
Approval Of Claims: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the June 15, 2021 claims totaling $83,006.54. Motion seconded by Lorie Wieser. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

George Eberle – Possible Vacate Of City Property: Jason Shook made a motion to hold a public hearing on August 3, 2021 concerning the possible vacate of City property. Motion was seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Adopt 2018 Ipmc And 1997 Uhc: Jason Shook made a motion to adopt the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code and the 1997 Uniform Housing Code. Motion was seconded by Bill Bethel. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Executive Session Per Sdcl 1-25-2 (2,3 & 4) Personnel, Litigation & Contracts: Jason Shook made a motion to enter into Executive Session at 7:42 p.m. Motion was seconded by Roger Horton. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Returned to regular meeting at 8:30 p.m.
Accept Trent Mccartney’s Resignation: Jason Shook made a motion to accept Trent McCartney’s resignation. Motion seconded by Lorie Wieser. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Advertise For Open City Positions: Lorie Wieser made a motion to advertise for the open positions of: Administrative Assistant, Animal Control Officer and Seasonal/Temporary Public Works. Motion was seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Adjournment: Jason Shook made a motion to adjourn at 8:30 p.m. Motion was seconded by Bill Bethel. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held July 20, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
